Yesterday the official Twitter account of Rockstar Games tweeted a single image that has set the internet ablaze with speculation about a new upcoming Red Dead game.
Ever the masters of subtlety, Rockstar Games tweeted another image the next day, this time with an image of what appear to be several cowboys against a red horizon.
The latter image also now serves as the greeting image to visitors of the developer's website. Though it is important to note that the words "new", "red", and "dead" in conjunction are nowhere to be found on the Twitter account or website, most would probably agree that the tweeted images leave very little to the imagination.
A new Red Dead game coming soon would also be in keeping with Rockstar's recent release history. It has now been six years since the release of Red Dead Redemption on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which itself came out six years after its predecessor, Red Dead Revolver. Likewise, Grand Theft Auto V saw it's initial release five years after Grand Theft Auto IV, which in turn came out four years after Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
