New Dragon Age Could Be In the Works

A new Dragon Age game from BioWare could be in the works soon. According to an article on Eurogamer.net published on September 12, 2016, Alexis Kennedy (co-founder of Failbetter Games and lead writer of Sunless Sea) has been signed on by BioWare to work on an as-of-yet unannounced game.
Though it is important to note that Kennedy does not specifically say that he will be working on a Dragon Age game in his interview with Eurogamer, the article states that he will be working alongside Mike Laidlaw (lead designer of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II) and Patrick Weekes (current Lead Writer of Dragon Age series). It is also worth noting that BioWare previously partnered with Kennedy’s Failbetter Games to create the Dragon Age spinoff browser game The Last Court, which served to bridge the story gap between Dragon Age II and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Given this trio, it seems rather likely that the unannounced project is a new entry in the Dragon Age franchise, especially given the success of 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition That being said, it is likely we will not see this project come to light for several more years if it is still only in the storyboarding phase of development.
