PS Now For PC Officially Launches in US

Sony has officially launched the Windows PC application for their PS Now service.
PS Now is a subscription-based service that allows players to stream Playstation 3 games to their Playstation 4 and now their PC. Playstation.com currently has over 400 titles listed as available for streaming. Some of the notable titles include Heavy Rain, the inFAMOUS series, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, several Ratchet & Clank games, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last of Us. In addition to the titles themselves, PS Now for PC also supports online multiplayer.

It boasts a pretty impressive collection of games for streaming, and the current subscription options are $19.99 for one month or $99.99 for a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

If you are thinking about giving it a try, however, there are a few things to be aware of. First off, the Dualshock 4 controller is required for playing all games. Playstation.com explicitly states that Dualshock 3 and third party controllers are incompatible with the app. The app also does not support play via the mouse and keyboard. Second, the minimum specs for PC are as follows:

-        -  Windows 7 or higher
-        -  Intel i3 2.0 GHz, though it is worth noting that other parts of the website recommend a 3.5 GHz Intel i3 or a 3.8 GHz AMD A10.
-          -2 GB of Ram
-         - 300 MB storage space, but come on, who doesn’t have that?
-         - Sound card
-         - USB port (presumably for the Dualshock 4)
-         - 5 Mbps download speed

Luckily Sony is offering the 7-day free trial so users can ensure that their current setup can stream everything smoothly.
